DENTAL PLAQUE

Teeth without cavities are healthy, stay beautiful longer, and you   can eat better with them. This card teaches you how to prevent  cavities and what plaque is.

Plaque is a white-yellow layer on (and between) your teeth, and it contains sugar from what you eatand drink. Because of this, acids can form and cause cavities. Plaque is almost invisible to the naked eye.

HOW?

Luckily, you can help protect your teeth from plaque by:

After every eating moment, don’t eat or drink anything for two hours. Water and tea without sugar or honey are always good  choices.

Brushing your teeth with fluoride toothpaste suited for your age.

Children up to the age of 10 should have their teeth brushed once day.

Preferably an electric toothbrush

 

 

Fluoride toothpaste

WHEN?

Brush twice a day for 2 minutes each time

TIPS

The dentist or dental hygienist can check if you have cavities. Children can visit the dentist for free.
